The 2018 running of the BetVictor Gold Cup will shortly be upon us, and that annual major UK horse race is of course being staged at the Cheltenham racecourse, and you are going to find plenty of betting sites at which you will be offered ante post betting markets on that race.
However, it is Ladbrokes that as usual are offering some of the very best ante post odds on most of the runners in that race and as such, it will be there current odds I will be quoting throughout this Gold Cup 2018 betting news story, so make sure that is the sports betting site you do place your bets at, if you are thinking about betting early on it!
As to just which horse is currently the favourite to win that race, which is being held on the 17th of November 2018, well it is Mister Whitaker that is attracting a fair bit of support, but having said that its odds are still a huge 12/1 at Ladbrokes which is sure to appeal to plenty of horse racing punters out there.
Keep in mind though, that this race is of course a very open affair, and as such any horse that is scheduled to take part in it will have a fairly decent chance of winning, or at least getting placed, and for reference Ladbrokes are paying one quarter of the win odds if you choose to bet each-way, and are paying to four places too.
Joint Second Favourites to Win the BetVictor Gold Cup
Whilst the favourite to win the BetVictor Gold Cup this year is attracting support, I certainly wouldn’t put you off betting on any of the current joint second favourites, and there are currently three of them to choose from.
Those horses are King’s Socks, Full Glass along with Rather Be, and if you get a move on and place your bets right now over at the online or mobile betting sites that are available from Ladbrokes you are going to be able to secure odds of 14/1 on each of them.
Each-Way Betting Value
As Ladbrokes do have some of the fairest each-way terms on offer on this year’s BetVictor Gold Cup, you may be tempted to place a bet on one of the horses that has some slightly higher odds attached to them on their ante post betting market.
You will of course need to select a horse that has some fairly decent form figures alongside its name, and a few of them that do include the likes of Foxtail Hill and Ballyandy both of which are currently trading at odds of 16/1.
Magic Saint does have a very reasonable and fair chance of filling one of the placed positions in this race and if that is a horse you fancy backing then Ladbrokes are offering odds of 20/1, and they are also offering the exact same odds on Peregrine Run too, but do consider a small each-way saver wager on Modus at 25/1!
