There is $9,000,000 up for grabs in this year’s BMW Championship golf tournament, and it is of course being hosted over at the Aronimink Golf Club from the 6ths to the 9th of September this year, and as is always the case, plenty of punters are taking a very keen interest in it.
With that in mind, I want to take a look at three different betting markets that you may not have considered making use of, and they are the group betting markets that you will find available at sites like Betfred.
You will find three groups in which the golfers have been split up into and you can bet on which golfer in each group you think is going to win or head the three as per their final finishing positions.
With that in mind let me turn my attention first to Group A and it is Dustin Johnson at 3/1 that Betfred is going to head that group. But make no mistake about it he will have to battle hard to do so for he does face some very stiff competition from the likes of both Justin Thomas and also Justin Rose at 10/3.
In fact it could be Brooks Koepka at 7/2 or even Bryson DeChambeau at 4/1 who head that group, so do study the form of each golfer for each of those odds are certainly worth taking if you do fancy the chances of any of those golfers to head and lead that group!
Who Will Top Group B?
You are bound to recognise some of the names of the golfers that are listed in Group B, and this is going to be the one group that you are going to have to take some chances on if you do fancy placing a bet on it as any of the golfers in it could top the group.
However, most punters will be of the mind that Rory McIlroy at 3/1 is going to be the top golfer in that group, but there will also be more than enough punters backing the likes of both Tiger Woods and Jason Day both of whom are fairly easy to back at odds of 7/2.
Rickie Fowler at 18/5 is a bet some punters will be willing to place of course and whether Francesco Molinari at 4/1 is up to leading this group, well that does remain to be seen!
Betting on Group C in the BMW Championship
As for Group C, well it is Jordan Spieth at 3/1 who is currently the joint favourite but only just to come out on top in the group, but I do think that both Hideki Matsuyama at 3/1 who is obviously the other joint favourite and also Tony Finau at 7/2 that may just prevail if things do fall their way.
To be fair though the form of the other two golfers in this group does give them a fair chance of winning too and with that in mind perhaps you fancy the chance of Jon Rahm at 4/1 or even fancy betting on Tommy Fleetwood whose odds are also 4/1 too.
