The Irish do love a punt on the horses, and one race that will tempt many people there and in the UK to splash out on a few bets is the upcoming Irish Gold Cup, and this year that race is being run on Sunday the 3rd of February, and the action will kick off at 15:35 in the afternoon at Leopardstown racecourse.
Many punters though do like the fact that they can make use of ante post betting markets at betting sites such as Ladbrokes, and today I want to give you some ideas of the horses that may just be worth backing right now and the odds that you can secure on each of them too.
Always keep in mind that you are able to back any horses that you do fancy each-way when betting on the ante post betting markets at Ladbrokes, and you are also going to have the ability of securing some of the best ante post betting odds too at that betting site.
Read on for below I will be revealing the first few horses in the betting markets but I will also be giving you something of an insight into the horses that could be worth a little speculative punt each-way, and there are plenty of horses that could full one of the top positions in this race by the way!
Current Favourites to Win
Road to Respect is currently the one horse that it is very fair to say has the best form in this race, and that is a fact that hasn’t gone unnoticed by many punters who have been backing it on the ante post betting markets, so much so its odds have dropped down to 7/2.
There are also two joint favourites either of which could run a very good race and win the Irish Gold Cup and they are Presenting Percy and Al Boum Photo at 5/1, and next in the betting you have Kemboy who at odds of 11/2 does represent a solid bet in my opinion.
The only other horses that are being backed at this early stage of the ante post betting markets are Bellshill at 6/1, but I do feel that you will be taking chances as to the fitness and abilities of that horse if you do back it, and then there is Monalee who at odds of 8/1 is a reasonable bet.
Irish Gold Cup Each-Way Betting
As for just which horses may fill one of the top positions in this race that all you each-way sharks out there should be backing, well there are a few horses that do stand out as potential place fillers so to speak two of which are definitely Total Recall and Anibale Fly at 12/1.
A fair bet is that Balko Des Flos may just have what it takes to fill a placed positions and at 14/1 now is the time to place such a bet, the only other horse I could make a case for as an each-way possibility is Waiting Patiently at 16/1.
