I know the English Championship football season hasn’t even started yet, however I am sure plenty of you will end up backing one or two teams in the hope that they finish at the top of that league at the end of the season, and there is some value to be had by betting right now.
The odds available on each team in the English Championship are to be fair to most bookies, quite generous at the minute, and many of them will let you bet on any team each-way and will pay you out to three places at one quarter of the win odds too on such bets.
Punters have already been latching onto the chances of Leeds being crowned the English Championship outright winner in the 2019/20 season, and whilst it is early days with the season not yet having started the 5/1 odds I have seen being offered on them may not last very long and may start to drop much sooner rather than later.
You could have a bet on both Leeds and the second favourite, that being Fulham and still end up with a sizeable winning profit if either of those two current first and second favourites do go on to win the title, and for reference Fulham are being touted at odds as high as 15/2 right now at most betting sites.
Four teams are currently on offer at many betting sites at mid-ranged odds and the next team in the betting are West Brom who could be very tempting for some punters based on the fact you can bag odds on them winning the title race next season as high as 10/1.
Cardiff at 11/1 do also look a fair each-way bet too and if you do intend placing more than one each-way bet then you should keep in mind that the likes of Stoke at 12/1 and Middlesbrough at 14/1 could quite easily end up getting placed in one of the top three positions of the English Championship next season too.
Teams That Are Friendless in the Betting
Let me now move onto the teams that punters are avoiding placing bets on right now and are probably going to need quite some convincing if they are to back them at any time in the future too.
Those teams that are not being backed in any great number or by any major amounts include teams such as Brentford, Derby and Huddersfield at 16/1 and then you have teams such as Bristol City, Sheff Wed and Nottingham Forest all at 20/1, with the next teams listed on most betting sites are Swansea at 25/1, Preston at 28/1 and Birmingham at 33/1.
It will be fans of teams that will be backing he likes of Luton, Hull and Blackburn at 40/1 and you are going to have to be a very loyal fan to be tempted to back Reading and QPR at 50/1 or place you hard earned money down on Millwall, Charlton and Wigan at 66/1 or the rank outsider that being Barnsley at 80/1.
