Cheltenham Festival Day One Racing Tips

Day one of the Cheltenham Festival has finally arrived, and punters across the globe are going to be betting on every single race that is lined up over the next few days at the Cheltenham racecourse, and some horses are attracting a huge amount of support this morning, long before those races actually start.

As for the best tips for the days races at Cheltenham, well the action will of course be kicking off with the 13;30 race, and all eyes will be on Fakir D’oudairies who is a rock solid bet and a horse that is currently trading at or around the 13/2 mark and is expected to run   big race.

Moving onto the 14:10 race, Glen Forsa is the number one choice for many punters and at 4/1 there is still some value to be snapped up. Give me a Copper is also expected to run its race and at 8/1 that horse which is running in the 14:50 is worth an each-way bet for sure.

Apple Jade is 2/1 in the next race of the day at the Cheltenham Festival and if all goes to plan that horse is going to take some pegging back in the 15:30 race.

Listen to the Experts

It will always be those people who have vast experience of racing that you are going to be best off listening to and talking advice from, so therefore if you are planning on watching the Cheltenham Festival on TV over the course of the meeting, then listen to what the jockeys and trainers have to say.

Knowing what the state of the ground is at Cheltenham is also important too, for with the weather being what it is in the UK any prolonged downpours of rain are going to benefit some horses, whilst other horses are going to be massively inconvenienced with the going too.

Other Horses to Back Today

The last few races at Cheltenham today do give punters plenty of opportunities, however from a strictly form point of view the 16:10 race should be won by Benie Des Dieux.

Just be aware that the odds generally available on that horse are around the 5/6 mark, so you will have to do some shopping around in your quest to bag the best odds available, if you do fancy the chance so that horse.

If you still have some cash to bet with when the 16:50 race comes around then there is a solid each-way betting opportunity in that race, and that is the current 12/1 shot Springtown Lake, but make sure you bet with a bookie that is offering some decent each-way terms on that race, as not all of them are!

Discorama is my tip of the 17:50 race at Cheltenham today and with a little bit of hunting around you should easily be able to bag odds of 12/1 on that horse which I do feel has an outstanding chance of getting its head up in front and winning.
