Collingwood a Value Bet as the AFL Grand Final Winner

It won’t take you very long to come to the conclusion that as far as just which team is going to win the AFL this year and be crowned the champion team, there are several of them that could come out on top when you check the state of the current betting markets.

In fact, I did just that this very morning, and whilst it is Richmond that are firmly installed as the 4/1 favourite to won the final this season at odds of 4/1, I wouldn’t call then a red-hot favourite.

Therefore I spent some time trying to work out just which team if any does have the best chances of winning and a team that can be secured at some fairly decent odds right now, and I have decided that it is Collingwood that are deserving of my money right now.

Whether you agree with me or not, there is no getting  away from the fact that as the second joint favourite along with West Coast at odds of 6/1 they are certainly a value bet and are worthy of a speculative bet at the very least.

Melbourne and Essendon

If you are wondering just which betting site are offering the odds I am quoting in this AFL betting news story, it is the Quinnbet sportsbooks at which you can currently secure the odds listed.

As for some to the other teams that may just come out on top, well the next two in the betting over at Quinnbet are Melbourne who are a fairly reasonable bet when you take everything into account at odds of 7/1 and then you have Essendon at 11/1.

Risky AFL Outright Winner Bets

Betting on any of the other teams that are playing in the AFL and could win is going to be something of a risky business, for to be frank the remaining teams are in with only a small chance of winning unless they do manage to massively up their game this season.

But you will of course have the opportunity of betting on any of them so I will now enlighten you on just how high the odds attached to each of the other teams are, as some of those teams or probably their high odds could appeal to you.

Next in the betting ate Greater Western Sydney at 12/1, then you have both Geelong and Sydney Swans at 14/1, as for Hawthorn they can be backed at odds of 20/1 and you can get odds of 22/1 on Port Adelaide if they are a team you feel are worth betting on.

The rank outsiders include teams such as North Melbourne who are 33/1 and then you have the Western Bulldogs available at some much bigger odds of 40/1.

You then next have a couple of 66/1 shots those two teams being Brisbane Lions and Fremantle followed by both Carlton and St Kilda both chalked up at huge odds of 100/1 and finally you have Gold Coast who cannot possibly be crowned champions at their current odds of 250/1!
