It will be the case that tomorrow plenty of golf fans will be tuning in and watching the start of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, and there is a good chance that a high percentage of those fans of the sport will also be backing the golfer they think will lift the trophy and take home the lion’s share of the prize fund too.
The early money on the futures betting markets has been pouring in on Thomas Pieters and as it stands he is currently the 10/1 favourite to win this year.
But to be fair those odds do not give you a sure-fire chance of winning and it may be worth looking at one of the other experienced golfers as the most likely winner, much more so as the odds on the rest of the golfers are high.
There are four other golfers that do catch the eye as potential winners of this tournament and they include both Jordan Smith and the highly experienced Tom Lewis who are available at some decent odds of 20/1, and there is a reasonable chance that either Alexander Bjork or Michael Lorenzo-Vera could come out on top and their odds are around the 25/1 mark currently.
About the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters
As there are plenty of golf tournaments throughout the year, there are bound to be a few of them that you may not have come across before, and if that is the case with the Commercial Bank Qatar Maters tournament, allow me to give you a little bit more information on it.
It is part of the European Tour and was founded back in 1998, as for when it is held each year, it is either in February or March that the tournament is staged over at the Doha Golf Club in Qatar. This year the prize fund stands at a whopping $1,750,000, and that does of course mean that it attracts plenty of golfers to take their chances in it.
This year the action will begin on the 7th of March and the tournament runs right through until and including the 10th of March.
First Round Leader
You may be much more inclined to bet on the golfer that you think will be the First Round Leader and if so then let me give you some idea of where your money may be best advised going, starting with the most obvious golfer that being the current favourite Thomas Pieters.
If you do think he will be the first round leader then the 20/1 being offered by most bookies does look appealing, and you then have the likes of Jordan Smith and Tom Lewis at 25/1 or you could take a chance on golfers such as Alexander Bjork or Fabrizio Zanotti and by doing so you should easily be able to locate and secure odds of 33/1 on either of them without any great effort.
But as always do try and shop around, for not only are the odds on this betting opportunity likely to different at different betting sites so will be the range of bets on this golf tournaments you will have access to.
