Trying to make sense of tonight’s Football League Cup Round 1 matches from a betting point of view is going to take you some time for sure, as there are a number of matches all kicking off later this evening, and a plethora of unique betting opportunities are available on each of those matches too.
However, to keep things nice and simple I am going to be looking at the outright betting markets on a handful of tonight’s matches that I am sure most punters are going to want to have a financial interest in.
The first of those matches will see Nottingham Forest taking on Bury, that match is chalked up and listed on the Betfred betting site with odds of 9/20 on a home win, you can bag 10/3 on the draw but if you think Bury could win their 6/1 odds on doing so need securing sooner rather than later!
In the Mansfield Town v Accrington Stanley match, it is quite a tough match to predict the outcome off, and as such Betfred are offering some very reasonable odds on the home team winning off 6/5, they will give you odds of 5/2 on the match ending in a draw and the away team are currently 21/10 to win.
Macclesfield Town v Bradford City
The Macclesfield Town v Bradford City match is unlikely to go the way of the home team or a draw, however the odds on those two outcomes being the one the matches ends in are 11/4 and 13/5 respectively, but it is Bradford City the bookies think will win as they are going 10/11 on them doing so.
One match that should attract high volumes of cash on the betting markets tonight is the Leeds United v Bolton Wanderers match in which Leeds are 7/10 to win, the draw odds are fair at 11/4 and there is no doubting the value on the 19/5 odds on Bolton winning that match!
Middlesbrough v Notts County
At rather tiny won odds of 4/11 it looks like Middlesbrough are going to win their match tonight against Notts County who do look outclassed and their 15/2 do give an indication of just how outclassed they look, the draw odds on that match for reference are 19/5.
If you fancy placing a bet on the Preston North End v Morecambe match, you will need to place some hefty bets on the home team to get a decent sized winning pay-out as their win odds are low at just 2/9, the draw is on offer at huge odds of 5/1 and as for Morecombe their chances of winning are certainly reflected in the size of their win odds which are 12/1!
A slightly more well balanced match as far as the odds go is the match between Cheltenham Town and Colchester United, the home team are currently readily available at odds of 6/4, the match could of course end in a draw and the odds available eon it doing so are 23/10 but it does look like the away team have a very fair chance of winning this match and their chances are reflected in their 9/5 win odds at Betfred!
