The Irish Sprint Cup is of course one of the major events in Irelands greyhound racing calendar, and each year fans of the sport wager some large volumes of cash on that event, much more so if they have any money left over from the Cheltenham Festival!
This year as in most years, Paddy Power who are a bookie with their roots in Ireland are once again offering punters one of the best set of ante post odds on their now live betting markets, and they are also offering one quarter of the win odds when you set about betting on any of the greyhounds each-way, and for reference are paying out to two places when you bet each-way too.
If betting on the Irish Sprint Cup is something you do fancy doing then currently it is Cabra Hurricane that is attracting the most support, having already been backed down from odds of 9/4 to 15/8 those odds are there for the taking for all your favourite backers.
The current second favourite to win the 2019 Irish Sprint Cup is Cronody Tadhg and that greyhound has also been attracting plenty of support having opened up at odds of 5/1 it is now firmly entrenched as the 10/3 second favourite to win.
Greyhounds in with a Chance of Winning
If you do have any experience of betting on greyhound races, then you will be more than aware that anything can and often does happen as the greyhounds are running around the track, and as such any of the greyhounds scheduled to take their chance sin this race could escape any trouble at the bends and win it.
As for a few other greyhounds that are in with a good chance of winning if everything does fall into place for them, you have the likes of Ardnasool Jet who has been backed down from 7/1 to 7/2 and also Blame the Game who has been pushed out from 4/1 to 5/1 on the Paddy Power betting market recently.
Outriders to Consider Backing
Let me now give you some ideas as to the current set of ante post odds available on the other greyhounds, starting with Lemon Shane who is easy to back at odds of 10/1.
Lugs Branno is a 12/1 shot to win the Irish Sprint Cup and Balline Kyle isn’t attracting much support at 16/1 and the same can also be said for the likes of Boleys Fella a 20/1 shot and both Ballymac Conte and Baytown Bubba are very easy to back at odds of 33/1.
If you fancy backing the complete and rank outsider for reasons best known to yourself then the greyhound that is completely friendless in the betting is Doona Buck and you should very easily be able to secure win odds on that greyhound of at least 40/1 over at the Paddy Power betting site, who also have a rather large sign up bonus on offer if you are not yet a customer, but do click through our links to secure that bonus!
