Today I am going to be looking at the current state of the Italian Open golf tournament, and that is of course a tournament that does have some surprise winners of as history has proven, currently though as far as the early betting goes it is Matthew Fitzpatrick who is the current favourite at odds of 9/4.
The odds on the favourite are such that you could also back a couple of the other fancied golfers to win and bet on him too in the hope one of your selections win, and you could still lock in a profit by doing so, so do also consider backing golfers such as the current second favourite that being Justin Rose at 6/1
With there being some even higher odds attached to the rest of the field you really can pick up some very decent odds if you fancy any other golfer and one that does have the form to win a major golf tournament so this type is Joachim B. Hansen who is trading at odds of 12/1 right now.
The odds attached to each golfer in this betting market will of course give you some idea of their chances and whether other punters are backing them with any degree of confidence, and one golfer that I do rate the chance of myself is Matt Wallace whose 14/1 odds do look very appealing it does have to be said.
Fancy an Each-Way Bet on the Italian Open?
Unless you have made your mind up that it will be either the first or second favourite that is going to go on to win the Italian Open, then you are probably sat there scratching your head trying to work out which other golfers could come out on top and win it.
If that is something you are pondering over right now, do keep in mind that a very fair number of our featured and top rated sports betting site and bookies are giving one quarter of the win odds and paying out to four places too, so that may be a good alternative type of bet to place instead of an outright winner bet.
Who to Back Each-Way?
Finding a bookie that is offering the best each-way betting terms will then see you having to make up your own mind as to just which golfer will fill one of the top spots on the leader board at the end of the tournament, and you do have plenty of golfers at larger odds available.
They include Rory Sabbatini and Andrea Pavan at 18/1, Erik Van Rooyen at 20/1 and golfers such as Bernd Wiesberger who are being offered at odds of 22/1, and a few other to consider backing each-way include Andrew Johnston and Graeme McDowell 25/1 and possibly a small each-way bet on Mike Lorenzo-Vera may also be the order of the day given his current 28/1 odds too.
