If you are an avid fan of the sport of darts, then you are probably counting down the days until this year’s Grand Slam of Darts tournament is in play over in Wolverhampton, and if so then today I want to give you a few pointers as to just which players are being backed and which ones are not.
It is from the 10th of November until the 18th of November that the Grand Slam of Darts will be in play, and the Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton is hosting that event, which does mean there will be a huge army of supporters watching each leg of the tournament as always!
As for the prize fund, well as the event is sponsored by a major betting site, you can bet your bottom dollar the prize fund is worth winning, and this year this PDC organised event has a prize fund of £450,000 up for grabs and the winner of the tournament will bag £110,000 of that prize fund.
There are plenty of betting sites that will be offering you odds on the Grand Slam of Darts however one betting site famed for some of the best odds in the industry is BetFred, so make a point of checking out what odds they are offering, which are listed below be the way!
Best Backed Players
The odds on Michael Van Gerwen do give you a very good idea of his winning chances and as such allow me to enlighten you on the fact that he is the 10/11 favourite to win and is the one players that most punters truly believe is going to win this event and easily too!
There is however always going to be a chance that another player could come out on top and as far as the betting markets at BetFred go the current second and third favourites are Gary Anderson at odds of 11/2 and the third favourite is easy to back to be honest and he is Peter Wright at 9/1!
Rest of the Field
It will of course be up to you to decide whether you do fancy the chances of any of the other golfers that are taking part in this tournament, but if you do feel that any of those not yet mentioned are going to do well there is plenty of value to be had by backing them each-way thanks to the very high odds on offer on each other darts player at betting sites such as BetFred!
Therefore let me finally move onto giving you few ideas as to just which other players could, if everything does fall into place and goes their way, win or much more likely get placed high up the tournament leader board.
Those players include Rob Cross at 14/1, Mensur Suljovic at 18/1, Michael Smith at 22/1 and both James Wade at 25/1 and Glen Durrant at 33/1 could be worth betting on too!
