It never too early to bet on races such as the Champion Chase, and with that race being planned for the 13th of March this year there will be plenty of punters prepared to take their chances it, and the ante post betting markets are always worth checking out.
Especially at sites such as Quinnbet as they have plenty of ante post betting markets and the one they have currently live on that race does offer some decent odds, and with one third of the win odds going to each-way backers to three places there is value for each-way sharks too.
Most punters and pundits have already made up their mind and have placed a bet on who they think is going to win this race and it is Altior that has been heavily backed to win it, as for just what odds are still available on it winning, well the best you can hope for sadly are odds of 2/5!
That isn’t to say that any other horse could win, but it will be an uphill struggle for any other horse to beat the favourite if it gets a clear round, but as for the second favourite that horse is currently Min and if you are quick you will be able to get odds of 8/1 about it.
In fact, having just checked the ante post betting market on this race another horse has also just been backed down to second favourite and that horse is Footpad, so it could be the case punters are latching onto its chances of getting placed at least at 8/1.
Will Un De Sceaux Scrape into a Place?
Due to the sheer number of punters that are going to be betting on this race, there are plenty of other horses available at some much higher odds that you would be tempted to place a well thought-out each-way bet on.
One of thsoe horses is Un De Sceaux and I for one would never put anybody off putting a bet on that horse, especially an each-way bet for there is a very good chance that it could just run into one of the places at 12/1!
Risky Betting Propositions
You could back Sceau Royal at 16/1 or any of the 20/1 shots that are Politologue, Great Field and Simply Ned at 20/1 or back the likes of Saint Calvados, Fox Norton, Ballyoisin and Petit Mouchoir all at 25/1 or even Diego du Charmil and Castlegrace Paddy at 33/1 or God’s Own at 40/1, but to be fair they are all very risky propositions and I for one cannot see any of them winning or even getting placed in this race this year.
The outsiders include horse such as Lady Buttons, Special Tiara and Brain Power who are all fairly friendless currently in the betting markets at 50/1 and two horses you can quickly dismiss are Cadmium and Ozzie The Oscar who are way too big in price to have any chance of winning his race and thsoe odds for reference are 66/1.
