Tips for the Coolmore Stud Handicap

Today I am going to be taking a look at the runners in the Coolmore Stud Handicap, for unlike some previous years, there is quite an open betting market on that race which does mean if you manage to pick out the winner the odds you will secure will be rather rewarding to say the least.

As for just which horse has been backed on the ante post betting markets, well it’s fair to say plenty of them have been, however it is Habub that many punters have chalked up as the most likely winner of this race and as such it has been backed down to around 3/1 recently.

Moving onto another horse that has caught the eye of plenty of punters and has been backed down to second favourite is Walk on Walter, odds of 11/2 are generally available on that horse but do hunt around if you fancy backing it as you may find the odd bookie here and there offering slightly higher odds on it.

In fact, you may be much more minded to place an each-way bet rather than an outright straight win bet, and if you are thinking about placing an each-way bet then William Hill are paying out to three places and at one fifth of the win odds.

Fille de Reve and Embour

The third and fourth favourites are certainly going to be appealing to each-way sharks for its fair to say that either of them or even both may just end up running into one of the top three position in this race.

As for just which horses they are, well the third favourite is currently Fille de Reve, and you shouldn’t face too much of a hard task getting odds of around 6/1 on that horse, and the fourth favourite, but only just is Embour who is trading at odds of 7/1.

The Lesser Fancied Horses

I am sure you will have your own ideas as to just which horses have a good chance of winning this race, but if any hors you fancy hasn’t yet been named up above then you are going to find some much bigger odds attached to it.

Both Vibrant Chords and Mokarris are currently 8/1 shot and you are going to be able to get odds of 10/1 on both Global Tango and Ice Age. Two horses that have been rather friendless in the betting markets are Miracle of Medinah and Fighting Irish at 16/1 and the same can also be said for Normandy Barriere who is the rank outsider at win odds of 20/1.

If you are planning on betting on this race then I would also advise you to look out for any bookies that are offering you best odds guarantees, as that way if you do take a price on your selection and the odds get higher and the SP declared is higher than the odds that you took then you will be paid out as part of the best odds guarantee at that higher SP.
